Yesterday the agent of the young centre-midfielder met with Roma’s Sporting Director, Monchi.A contract is being drawn for the player that is still yet to reach 21-years-of-age, but who will represent the future of Roma.

The Roma of the future has already taken shape in the form of the Azzurri. Sunday night, Ventura played the midfield tandem of Daniele De Rossi and Lorenzo Pellegrini. The former making his 114th appearance for the national team, while the latter made his debut. There is a difference of 13 years between the two, but a bloodline that connects them: Both are true Romans, Romanisti, and grew through the ranks of the club’s youth sector.

After two years of developing at Sassuolo, Lorenzo will return to Trigoria will he will re-meet with Di Francesco, who will soon be in the capital to sign (finally) the contract which will keep him in Rome for two years, with an option for a third.

After his debut, Pellegrini returned to Rome to meet with his international teammates ahead of the U21 European play. Before leaving with the national team though, he and his agent met with Roma to clarify his future – with Roma just about ready to exercise their buyback option.

Monchi offered his agent an important contract, which could be signed as early as Monday. Roma are ready to sign the next bandiera, after Totti, De Rossi, and Florenzi.
